Whale and Breezy started a long-term collaboration to provide a narrative to the WHALE’s “The Vault”, one of the largest and most valuable collections of NFTs in the entire space through art curation. Each month we will highlight a specific creator or theme, through rich visuals, high-profile artist interviews, gallery events, and more. The focus is to foster an interactive experience complete with catalogs, newsletters, and other media to explore. The artist of the month of August is Sturec.
Seda Turec, also known as Sturec, is the artist of August for the Vault Collection by Whale.
Born with colors in her hands, Sturec didn’t immediately embrace the artistic career, preferring to invest in an engineering degree in Turkey, her native country. But every experience is a resource for achieving personal fulfillment, and this is very visible in her body of works.
Looking at Sturec’s works, we see the same technical (and technological) studies that inspired the masterpieces of Italian Futurism at the beginning of the 20th century.
The search for space, creative enthusiasm, speed, and the desire to go beyond the human limits. After a century, these feelings and sensations are projected into the digital world, restoring the movement and the feverish pulse of the Web 3.0 progress.
Technology, therefore, is not an aid to the executive process itself, but rather an extension of the creative devices that allow the coexistence of distant elements, supports, and materials in the real world. In this way, paradoxes of the technique are created in which the soft tones of the watercolor blend with the clean and graphic line of the tattoo, the different textures and surfaces of the stone coexist in the same digital work, and again, plays of color are disturbed by signal interference. It is no coincidence that Sturec defines herself as a “multiform” artist, precisely because with the digital, she experiences the coexistence of different techniques and expressive modes that could not exist in the physical medium.
Of course, art generally represents real life and the facts but then again, working with an extensive color scheme represents, maybe, hope for a better future?…
Through her entrance in the Crypto Art scene back in mid-2019, Sturec experiences the feeling of belonging to a community that shares values and similar mindset. Since her debut, Whale has welcomed the artist into its collection. And the appointment to present and discuss her work will be, as usual, at the end of the month on the Arium Space platform.

Whale e Breezy hanno iniziato una collaborazione a lungo termine per fornire una narrazione – attraverso la cura dell’arte – di “The Vault” by WHALE , una delle più grandi e preziose collezioni di NFT dell’intero spazio. Ogni mese si metterà in evidenza un artista o un tema specifico, attraverso ricche immagini, interviste ad artisti di alto profilo, eventi in galleria e altro ancora. L’obiettivo è promuovere un’esperienza interattiva completa di cataloghi, newsletter e altri media da esplorare. L’artista del mese di Agosto è Sturec.

Nata con i colori tra le mani, Sturec non ha subito abbracciato la carriera artistica, preferendo investire in una laurea in ingegneria in Turchia, suo Paese natale. Ma ogni esperienza è una risorsa utile per il raggiungimento della realizzazione personale, e questo è ciò che emerge dal suo corpus di opere.
Osservando le opere di Sturec, vediamo gli stessi studi tecnici (e tecnologici) che hanno ispirato i capolavori del Futurismo italiano di inizio XX secolo.
La ricerca dello spazio, l’entusiasmo creativo, la velocità e la voglia di andare oltre i limiti umani. Dopo un secolo, queste emozioni e sensazioni vengono proiettate nel mondo digitale, ripristinando il movimento e il battito febbrile del progresso del Web 3.0.
La tecnologia, quindi, non come ausilio al processo esecutivo stesso, quanto piuttosto come estensione degli espedienti creativi che consentono la coesistenza di elementi, supporti e materiali lontani nel mondo reale. Si creano cosi’ paradossi della tecnica in cui i toni tenui dell’acquarello si fondono con la linea pulita e grafica del tatuaggio, le diverse textures e superfici della pietra convivono nella medesima opera digitale e ancora, giochi di colore sono disturbati da interferenze di segnale. Non a caso, Sturec si definisce un’artista “multiforme”, proprio perché col digitale sperimenta la compresenza di differenti tecniche e modalità espressive che sul supporto fisico non potrebbero esistere.
Naturalmente, l’arte generalmente rappresenta i fatti e la vita reale, ma d’altra parte, lavorare con un’ampia combinazione di colori rappresenta, forse, la speranza per un futuro migliore?…
Attraverso il suo ingresso nella scena dell’arte criptata a metà del 2019, Sturec sperimenta la sensazione di appartenere a una comunità che condivide valori e mentalità simili. Fin dal suo debutto, Whale ha accolto l’artista nella sua collezione. E l’appuntamento per presentare e discutere il suo lavoro sarà, come di consueto, a fine mese sulla piattaforma Arium Space.
