ABOUT THE PROJECT
$Whale and Breezy started a long-term collaboration to provide a narrative to the $WHALE’s “The Vault”, one of the largest and most valuable collections of NFTs in the entire space through art curation.
Each month we highlight a specific creator or theme, providing rich visuals, high-profile artist interviews, gallery events, and more.
For the month of January 2022, the presented artist is HACKATAO.
CURATORIAL TEXT
Welcome to “Encounter,” where we are taking you through the journey of one of the most exciting creative processes of the crypto art scene, of the union of two different souls, natures, elements, identities, personalities, and styles.
That of Hackatao is the incredible story of an encounter, that decided to manifest to humans in the form of art. The 15 pieces here displayed and collected in the Vault by $Whale speak for themselves, being a very comprehensive representation of the artists’ body of work.
Most of us have read many words about the pioneer artistic duo. I, myself, have written many about their art. With “Encounter’, we want you to concentrate on the balance, the combination, the fusion, what could be considered natural “alchemy.”
With Hackatao’s work, two identities blend into one. And we were lucky enough to witness the miracle in a space and a time which is the most precious of all gifts: community.
