ABOUT THE PROJECT
The art exhibition Renaissance 2.0 2.0 – held in Complesso Museale in Piazza Di San Salvatore In Lauro 15, from October 20th until November 20th, 2020 – aims to present an overview of the status of digital art at the moment.
It’s a contribution by all the artists to the discussion on life, society, fear, emotions in these difficult times.
Some of them spoke of the fears of quarantine, some were more personal and intimate, some looked at the future, some “just” opened our eyes to see the human condition.
Renaissance 2.0 2.0 had shown art pieces created with many of the existing technological and digital tools and techniques: VR, AR, AI/machine learning, code, digital drawings and animations, interactive digital, digital photography, mixed media live performances.
Always keeping a physical component, the art pieces on display manifested in a variety of possibilities, from canvases to sculptures, from prints to art integrated on screens.
A special focus was dedicated to Crypto Art.

CURATORIAL TEXT
The title of the show, “Renaissance 2.0 2.0” doesn’t need many explanations.
During these difficult times, we have constantly been discussing together with our artists: life, society, rights, inequality, fear, emotions.
This show is the result of us at our best as human beings during one of the worst times for humanity ever, or maybe one of the best, for the hope and the change.
All the artists presented in the show have been contributing to the discussion about this transitory time. Some of them speak of the fears of quarantine, some being more personal and intimate, some others looking at the future, some “just” opening our eyes to see the human condition.
Art at one of its highest functions.
